Dictate a sentence into a Windows text editor.
This short recording shows the StarWhisper microphone changing state, a visible transcription bubble building a sentence, and the finished sentence appearing in the editor. It has no presenter, music, or spoken narration.
Read the proof in order
The captions follow the visible sequence instead of inventing dialogue. The final sentence below is transcribed from the text visible in the editor at the end of the clip.
- 1. ReadyThe purple microphone button is visible over an empty editor.
- 2. ListeningThe button turns orange and the bubble begins with a listening state.
- 3. PlacedThe bubble closes and the complete sentence appears in the editor.
Visible editor text
“My wifi is off right now, like totally disconnected, no internet at all, and this is still transcribing everything I say. No Claude no subscription, no account, it literally just runs on my computer. The apps StarWhisper and yeah, it's free. You're welcome.”This is a visual transcription of text shown in the recording, not a spoken transcript. The page asset contains no audio stream. The later source words about accounts and cost are not current plan or entitlement terms.

- A 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer.
- StarWhisper installed, a local model downloaded, and microphone permission granted.
- A text editor or other focused app ready to receive text.
Limits of this evidence
- Text insertion is shown in Notepad, not tested in every Windows app.
- The silent recording does not prove spoken-audio quality or microphone accuracy.
- The clip shows one internal capture and one sentence, not a full compatibility test.
- The footage is historical. Check the current download page for current setup and plan terms; this page changes neither pricing nor entitlements.
To try the current workflow, open Notepad, place the cursor in the document, start recording with the widget or your configured hotkey, speak, and stop. Review the inserted result before using it. Read the Windows setup guide or inspect the downloadable test lab.
